In 1995, a group of student and alumni brothers at the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business founded a corporation whose goal was to acquire and manage a permanent physical facility (most likely a chapter house) for the
Alpha Phi Chapter of
Alpha Kappa Psi, a coeducational professional business fraternity, and provide long-term oversight of funds collected from the chapter and alumni for such a facility. This group felt that establishing a corporation managed by alumni brothers of the chapter would provide the stable, long-term oversight needed in order to successfully acquire a chapter facility. Thus was born the Alpha Phi

Foundation of Alpha Kappa Psi.
Since its founding in 1995, the Foundation has expanded its mission to more
broadly support business education programs and the Alpha Phi chapter
and its student brothers. This expanded mission includes direct
support of certain chapter activities that promote business education programs
and modest scholarships for select business
students while continuing to raise funds for the acquisition of a
facility
to support business education initiatives in Gainesville. Through contributions made
by the chapter and income earned on those funds, the Foundation now has almost
$120,000 to support its mission,
although a lot more will be needed in order to attain a fully functional
facility
Foundation operations are overseen by a Board of Directors of nine Alpha Phi alums (Richard and Andrea Ashbrook, John Castelino, Andrew Ingley, Greg Morris, Christian Regan, Robert Strosberg, John Tesmer, and Dan Vazquez) and the current chapter President and Vice President of House & Alumni Affairs. Alum Damian Perry, a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch, serves as the Foundation’s financial advisor.
